The Daily Stoic

Ever since I started this Rhode Runner journey, I started following a lot of running and positive and inspirational podcasts and social media sites. I just started following one fairly recently called, Detail Therapy with Amy Landino. She has both a podcast and a YouTube channel that are both incredible. She’s all about going after the life you want, and gives tips on how to do that. She has also written a book called Good Morning, Good Life: 5 Simple Habits to Master Your Mornings and Upgrade Your Life.

Amy had a recent podcast episode called “How to Read WAY More Books in 2021,” which I loved. She described how that one way she does this is by reading 3 books at a time. She listens to an audio book, as well as a physical book. And she reads a book called The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living. There is a passage you read each day of the year from anybody from ancient Greek and Roman times to George Washington to more current Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities. After the passage, the author(s) Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman provide commentary for further insight. It’s something that you can carry with you for that day, week, month, year, or even the rest of your life if you really connect with it.

So, who’s in with me? Let’s start off this year on the right foot!
You can get the book with the Amazon link below. The book is in all formats. I got mine on my Kindle.

And I highly recommend subscribing to Amy Landino’s podcast and YouTube channel.

And if you’d like to get her book, it is also on Amazon:

Let me know what you think of either book or the Detail Therapy podcast and YouTube channel.

Until next time, see you out on the Rhode!
