Daily Stoic: The One Path To Serenity

“Keep this thought at the ready at daybreak, and through the day and night–there is only one path to happiness, and that is in giving up all outside of your sphere of choice, regarding nothing else as your possession, surrendering all else to God and Fortune.” ~ Epictetus, Discourses, 4.4.39

Inspired by The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living

The key to happiness is understanding the things that you cannot control, and just letting go of them. The one thing we have control of is the choices we make. There is a lot we have control over, so we don’t need to overwhelm ourselves trying to control things that are beyond our control. So, you just do you, boo!
