The Journey Continues!
For the first time since 2019, The Rhode Runner is finally travelling to a new state! I’ll be heading down to Louisiana for the first time in my life. The race itself is the Mardi Gras 5k, and takes place on February 11, 2023 in Metairie, which is just outside New Orleans. In fact, the race is put on by the New Orleans Track Club.
I am really looking forward to this! The actual Mardi Gras is on February 21, so I will experience the Mardi Gras atmosphere, but with, I assume, less suffocating crowds. I can’t wait to check out the local restaurants and music!
