This week, we welcome Susan Wheeler to the Rhode Runner family! We have all heard the adage, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Often, that is easier said than done. However, Susan has proven time and time again that it can be done. As you can find in Susan’s book, The Lemonade Diet, she was handed bushels of lemons…enough so that she has been able to make lemonade to share with all of us!
One example is a debilitating accident that resulted in breaking practically every bone in her body, including her back, as well as shattering her pelvis. 6 years later, she began running, and has gone on to run more than 25 marathons, half-marathons, and ultra-marathons! And if you read her book (which I highly recommend), this only scratches the surface of what she’s been through.
We all go through things that can set us back, no matter how big or small. So, it is great to have somebody that’s been through it all, to help guide us to overcome and thrive.
Be ready to be inspired in this can’t-miss episode, and go after your dreams no matter how many lemons get thrown your way!
